2012 Kawasaki Z750R

2012 Kawasaki Z750R Features and Benefits
Sculpted aluminium swinging arm - Pressed aluminium swingarm replaces the steel square-section item of the Z750. The swingarm is lighter and contributes to the Z750R’s higher-grade appearance. The sculpted design is based on that of the 2009 Z1000, featuring the same left side, but a newly designed right side to be able to better accommodate the 180 mm rear tyre used by the Z750R.

Multi-piece front cowl - The front cowl is a multi-piece construction. The sharp, aggressive multi-facet design reflects the R-model’s sporty nature. Smoked windscreen-style instrument cover contributes to the sharper image and further distinguishes the Z750R from the Z750.

Instrumentation - Supersports style instrumentation gives at-a-glance information to the rider. Black-backed analogue-style tachometer sits alongside an orange LCD display with digital speedometer, odometer, trip meter, water temp, fuel gauge, clock, etc.

Hi-spec front forks - The 41 mm inverted front fork from the 2009 Z1000 delivers brilliant steering performance. Smooth action in the top half of the stroke is complemented by firmer damping in the bottom half. This gives the feeling of a long-stroke suspension initially, followed by a solid, planted feel in corners. Both sides of the front fork now feature rebound damping adjustability, enabling more precise settings. (Preload adjustability for both tubes is also a feature.)
Engine - Responsive liquid-cooled engine with efficient 4-valve, DOHC cylinder head displaces 748 cm3 from a bore and stroke of 68.4 x 50.9 mm. Fuel injection system is managed by a high-precision ECU. Ultra-fine injectors and 32 mm throttle bodies with oval sub-throttles offer ultra-smooth response across the rev-range.

Piggy-back reservoir rear shock - At the rear, the Bottom-link Uni-Trak rear suspension features a nitrogen gas-charged shock with piggyback reservoir. The rear suspension settings complement those of the front fork: suspension action is excellent, offering exceptional road holding. The increased cooling performance from the addition of the piggyback reservoir suits the sport riding potential of the new Z750R.

Two-tone fuel tank - Fuel tank’s luxurious two-tone paint is complemented by gold pin-striping.

High grade braking - Radial-mount, opposed 4-piston front calipers gripping thicker 300 mm petal discs deliver increased braking performance and enhanced feel. Radial-pump front brake master cylinder also contributes to the superb control and feel offered by the new calipers. Steel-braided lines offering more direct feel complete the front brake package.
